  • Enter your host (e.g., yourusername.db.ondigitalocean.com).
  • Fill in your username and password.
  • Enter your port, typically 25060.

For more detailed instructions, visit the official Digital Ocean documentation: Digital Ocean MySQL Connection Guide.

Can I sync a database from my server to a database on another server?

Yes, from version 1.0.3 onwards, you can sync a database from your server to another server’s database. You can add the host, protocol, and port for the target database. By default, the host is set to localhost, but you can specify the IP address of the target database server here to sync it remotely.

Can I sync a database to a Docker container?

Yes, you can sync a database to a Docker container starting from version 1.0.3. If your Docker MySQL host is running correctly, you can connect to it from your local machine by specifying the host, port, and protocol in the appropriate fields:

  • Host: Use localhost or 127.0.0.1 as the host.
  • Port: Enter the port number you’ve forwarded from the Docker container (e.g., 12345).
  • Protocol: Set the protocol to TCP instead of the default.

Since MySQL is running inside the Docker container, the socket is not available, and you need to connect via TCP. By configuring these fields with the correct values, you will be able to sync your database successfully.
